We are pleased to announce the release of the Student Mental Health Needs Assessment via our Student Mental Health Network. This comprehensive report helps us all to better understand and be able to respond to the mental health needs of students in any level of educational pursuit in Tulare and Kings counties.
The Student Mental Health Network (SMHN) was created to increase opportunities and forums for strengthening relationships and understanding between students, family members, educators, mental/behavioral health providers and the community. This was made possible by the collaboration between Kings & Tulare Counties to bridge efforts and enhance services offered to students across educational systems in our communities. This effort emerged through a multi-county collaborative resulting from the 2004 Proposition 63, also known as the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA).
