Hope Vol. 2 Comic Book

About our book:

Hope Vol. 2, our newest comic book, focuses on building strong mental health by addressing the many shapes and forms bullying can take. We can make a big difference in empowering youth, parents, and educators to take positive steps and increase their ability to protect at-risk youth by building a positive environment.

Local artists and writers Eric Rodriguez and Jenai Kaeo, along with SPTF director Noah Whitaker, collaborated with local youth and behavioral health professionals to create Hope Vol. 2. The comic illustrates the myriad issues contributing to bullying by following the path of a handful of characters as they traverse everyday life. Each character faces unique shapes and forms of bullying. The comic also provides tools to address these challenges.

Take action:

Thanks to generous donations from The Sence Foundation, Kaweah Delta Hospital, Kings County Behavioral Health, Tulare County Health & Human Services Agency, the Tulare County Chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and contributions from community members, we have been able to physically publish 40,000 copies of our comic book!

Copies of Hope Vol. 2 are available for free in Tulare and Kings counties. Join us in partnership by requesting copies for distribution. Partners can be restaurants, stores, schools, faith-based organizations, service clubs, private or public organizations, or regular folks that want to make a difference and help reduce bullying.

Our partners have already distributed more than 50,000 issues of our first comic Hope Vol. 1
